Welcome to the Classically Claire blog. Here I’ll be posting inspiration for home decor and hosting, recipes, gardening tips and tricks. I’m a military wife and mom. Currently living in Louisiana.
I love finding ways to make my life feel like a Nancy Meyers movie or Martha Stewart cookbook. My goal is to find ways to add everyday luxury and chicness. I originally created a food blog called Peonies and Pastries, but I found myself still being pulled to home and lifestyle content.

You may see the term “Millenial Southern Grandmother” around here. It’s all the vibes of Nancy Meyers, Ina Garten and Martha Stewart if they were set in the south. What inspired that saying the most is my own grandmother. She was the queen of a cut flower garden, and always knew how to host a fabulous dinner and guests. She could whip up some of the best recipes for a crowd. (I still have her full cook book collection!) She could get the stain out of any fabric and had the best cleaning tricks. She was the queen of giving gifts. They were thought through and immaculately wrapped. She fully represents the Southern Grandmother.

- I love to travel. Top of my list are Charleston, Savannah, and Nantucket.
- I have a cat (Thor) and a dog (Tyr)
- I love giving gifts!
- I dream of buying an old home and restoring it with love.
- My home decor style would be a blend of Southern Traditional, Coastal and English Cottage (honestly all the Cottages).
